I’ll admit it – more often than not, I’m the DIY guy
I always start out thinking, “Look how fast this guy online did it! All I gotta do is run to Home Depot for one $2 piece, and I’ll save a TON by doing it myself.”
(What can I say? I guess I’m an optimist)
For all you other DIYers, I’m guessing you can figure out what usually happens next:
You go to Home Depot for that one small plumbing piece … then realize you also need to buy an expensive tool just to install it
You go to the first hardware store for a new dimmer switch … but when you get there, they’re all out of stock (aaaaaaand so are the next two stores you drive to)
You take the time to jack up your car in order to change the oil … and only then realize you grabbed the wrong type of oil at the auto store that morning
And then, before you know it, your whole Saturday is gone … and, even after all of that, sometimes you STILL end up hiring someone to do the work
Well – guess what?
𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮
But instead of electrical outlets and leaky pipes, it’s marketing copy and business bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
Of course you CAN do everything, or learn how to do everything – that’s how you got your business to where it is today, right? You’re smart, and resourceful, and hard-working
But even though you CAN do everything … do you really WANT to?
And honestly, do you really have the time?
